TransLink Selects Blue Systems as Its Mobility Data Partner for Metro Vancouver
TransLink has selected Blue Systems to run its regional shared mobility data platform across Metro Vancouver, marking Blue Systems’ first partnership in Canada.
Los Angeles, CA – August 11, 2026 – We’re delighted to announce that TransLink, the regional transportation authority for Metro Vancouver, has selected Blue Systems as its mobility data partner. Our Smart Mobility Platform brings TransLink and its member municipalities into a single environment to monitor shared micromobility.
Metro Vancouver’s shared mobility program is regional by design. TransLink’s ambition is to make car-free living as practical as owning a car by connecting public transit and shared mobility across the region’s municipalities into one linked network. Enabling a unified regional view while each municipality sets its own policies is a model few platforms in North America are built for, and it’s what our Platform is built for.
Today it supports shared mobility operations across the City of Vancouver, the North Shore municipalities, Coquitlam, Port Moody, Richmond, New Westminster, Burnaby, the University of British Columbia, and Simon Fraser University. Each participating jurisdiction can set and enforce its own policies in the Platform, including fleet caps, speed limits, no-parking zones, parking corrals, and equity deployment minimums, while TransLink brings the regional view together across all of them.
Designed to evolve with the region’s mobility strategy
The partnership is built to grow with TransLink’s broader mobility program. Transport 2050 points toward a transportation system where curb space, shared mobility, and public transit are understood as parts of a connected network rather than isolated pieces.
Supporting this vision builds on Blue Systems’ experience with large, multi-jurisdictional authorities including Transport for London, Transport for New South Wales, and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission in the Bay Area. Blue Systems is proud to support this important work and to be part of advancing a more connected, coordinated regional mobility.
