Head of Growth – Blue Systems

Blue Systems is a SaaS mobility and curb data technology startup powering innovation for transportation authorities in the US, Europe and around the world. Our Smart Mobility Platform empowers DOTs with real-time mobility / curb data for the purposes of analytics and smart, data-driven regulation and policy making. The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Head of Growth to lead Blue Systems business development effort world-wide. We have an impressive product and a diverse customer list. We are looking for someone who is passionate about building strategic partnerships that shape the future of mobility and able to develop and execute sales strategies while forming strong relationships with current and potential customers. If rolling up your sleeves to lead RFP response effort, collaborate with city agencies and create innovative mobility data solutions to improve mobility ecosystem excites you, this is role is for you.
Role Responsibilities
- Create, execute and lead company sales strategy within the transportation, shared mobility, and new mobility markets
- Lead and develop sales team and manage direct reports
- Identify and develop opportunities with local and regional transportation authorities for Blue Systems products
- Build and maintain public-private partnerships- from city pilots to large-scale implementations
- Lead the RFP response effort and take charge of the final submissions with professionalism and attention to detail
- Represent Blue Systems at transportation and mobility conferences, industry events, and cross-sector meetings
- Lead Platform demos, presentations, customer meetings
- Translate market trends and regulatory changes into actionable sales strategies
- Maintain sales tools and systems for sales tracking and reporting
- Work cross-functionally with product, post sales and legal to ensure internal alignment with the sales strategy and execution
- Maintain hands-on involvement- no job too trivial, every task contributing to the mission!
What You Bring to the Table
- Ideally 3-5 years of prior experience managing sales / business development effort for a transportation technology company
- Ideally deep knowledge of transportation tech / mobility / curb management industry
- At least 3 years of experience in transportation technology, sales, and / or startup space managing a project and / or sales effort from beginning to end
- Being comfortable with technology and ability to give high level product demos and presentations
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required. A Master’s degree or higher is advantageous but not required
- Proven experience closing deals and securing strategic partnerships
- Ideally in-depth understanding of public sector procurement, sales to local governments, and RFP processes
- Existing relationships or clear ability to build trust with government agencies, municipal leaders, and private industry partners
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a “sky is the limit” mentality
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, ability to create presentations, decks, other sales / marketing materials
- Agile, team player not taking themselves too seriously and ready to thrive in a growing, fast-paced startup.
